The orange-headed thrush is a resident bird in the thrush family. It is common in well-wooded areas of the Indian Subcontinent & Southeast Asia. The species shows a preference for shady damp areas, and like many Geokichla and Zoothera thrushes, can be quite secretive.

The ultramarine or white-browed blue flycatcher is a small arboreal Old World flycatcher in the ficedula family that breeds in the foothills of the Himalayas & winters in southern India. The incandescently beautiful male is resplendent in electric blue and snowy white. The female is a dull gray-brown with paler underparts. It breeds in hill and montane broadleaf & pine forests descending into the lower foothills in winter.

The Asian green bee-eater, also known as little green bee-eater, and green bee-eater in Sri Lanka, is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family. It is resident but prone to seasonal movements and is found widely distributed across Asia from coastal southern Iran east through the Indian subcontinent to Vietnam.

The smallest of the minivets, the male has a slaty gray crown, cheeks, and back with black throat & wings, a black tail with pale yellow edges. The breast is orange, gradually fading into yellowish-white underparts. They are usually seen in small flocks, frequently uttering high-pitched calls as they continuously move around feeding on insects, sometimes catching them mid-air like flycatchers. They inhabit various forested habitats, especially thorny jungles, scrub patches, and open dry forest.

The black redstart is a small passerine bird in the genus Phoenicurus. Like its relatives, it was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family, but is now known to be an Old World Flycatcher. Other common names are Tithy's redstart, blackstart and black redtail.
